John
It was a wonderful old hotel, nesteled in a traditional building. The breakfast was delicious and the food was outstanding. The property had a very central location right on the beach. Besides, we were just next door to Newport, and the main tourist area where all the hustle & bustle is.
The staff we met were a bit rude.

Fairly clean and wonderful old property with delicious continental breakfasts and incredibly nice staff. An iron and a storage space available in the superior room. Good location within walking distance of a historic church. The hotel close to main street and a synagogue. An exceptional restaurant in the venue.
Beds were too soft.

The room was well-appointed and romantic, and it had central heating, a flat-screen cable TV, and ironing facilities. The location was comfortable, and it was a 15-minute walk from the train station. It was a fun stay in a very nice area.

Gorgeous breakfast choice with cookies available in the afternoon, coffee/tea and also cookies, very professional and responsive staff. Convenient and decent location - near to nearby town's central square and restaurants. Also, close to the attractions.

I had a neat and updated room with a great mattress and a variety of B&Bs, as example and everything was good. The breakfast meal was lovely with cookies available in the afternoon and coffee/tea, as example.

Location in the historical district of Newport was very attractive. Pleasant porch with seating for four people and garden to relax in. Car parking on site.
We had two rooms in the coach house which I would not recommend, they were very small. WI-fi only available in main house. No help with luggage . Hairdryer not supplied in room, available only on request. Only place we stayed where hot drinks were not available after 6pm. No residents lounge, only indoor seating area was the breakfast room in the basement. Fresh fruit was not provtded with breakfast.

Sadly, not very much. The car park was useful.
Our room was on the 3rd floor which we did not know about. No lift. The room was supposed to be "delux" but it was less than basic. Wires came out of a plug on the wall just above a pilllow on the bed. The bed was made up with two sheets and a duvet ontop which had no cover on - so apart from not being hygenic it looked awful. Furniture was old and tatty. Carpet two-tone brown and needed replacing, as did the two flights stair carpet. Basic breakfast was in the basement - very low ceiling, very crammed with non-matching furniture and the room was very dark. We were extremely disappointed and did not feel we had anything like value for money.

The updated rooms on the higher floors are fantastic. The food is outstanding. The location is great, right in the heart of town, making it easy to get anywhere. The room had lots of supplies, like central heating, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and an iron and ironing board.

Staff was excellent in helping us plan our visit in this historic gilded age seaside resort village. Location of Yankee Peddler is excellent - close but not too close to the lively dining and shopping on the wharfs; walking distance to restaurants and tours. Leave your car in the parking lot of the Yankee Peddler and walk.
The area, in general, is expensive. The continental breakfast was adequate but not exciting - I expected more for the price.

Updated room, I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel!
The hotel was quaint and fairly clean. The room with comfortable bed. I got lovely and delicious breakfast, it was included. The location was stunning, minutes away from Redwood Library.
